Provides comprehensive behavior analysis services to individuals in various settings, including residential, school, community, and home. BCBAs provide high quality services in the areas of functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support plan development, verbal behavior assessment, replacement skills training, consultation, and staff training. BCBAs also provide individual, group, family/parent skills trainings.
The Woods nursing pool offers the opportunity for qualified nurses to work in a rewarding and challenging environment and in a variety of residential and clinical program areas. It provides a work schedule that allows for balance between an individual’s professional career and personal life. Nurses who join the Woods flexible nursing pool will be scheduled on an “as needed” basis to supplement staffing needs. Once hired, nurses will work with their Nurse Managers to schedule time between the Woodlands and Mollie Woods Programs. Some overnight coverage for Beechwood may also be available
A pool nurse provides normalized, therapeutic and preventative nursing care to individuals within the scope of Pennsylvania Practical Nurse Law and in accordance with licensing and Woods policies and procedures. They maintain regular and direct communication with the Woods campus nurse and nursing management.
Develops and implements an appropriate habilitative program for adult clients at Woods Services. Provides documentation, recording and reporting of client progress on all Individual Habilitation Program (ISP) goals and objectives and actively participates on the client’s interdisciplinary team. Assists in providing a prescriptive, evaluative habilitative program for adult clients consistent with Woods Services Program Planning Guidelines as approved by the client’s interdisciplinary team.
Responsible to have a clear understanding of and maintain an operational knowledge of Woods’ Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Responsible for the administration of assigned Community Residences as defined under the DHS 2600 regulations and to ensure compliance with the standards which govern the Community Residences. Responsible for coordinating daily assignments of staff in the Community Residence, leisure groups, day program, home activities and other program assignments as necessary. Regularly monitors employees and persons served in program areas. Responsible for maintaining open communications with all Beechwood employees across the transdisciplinary team. Responsible for communicating and/or conferring with residential managers, vocational, facilities management and clinical employees as necessary. Assumes responsibility of a Life Skills Trainer when necessary. Responsible for working varied hours to ensure visibility across all shifts and for evaluating program activities in the Community Residence. Ensures compliance to federal, state, and local licensing and accreditation regulations/standards. Has an acute awareness/knowledge of all Woods Services’ and Beechwood’s policies and procedures.
Responsible for actively engaging and supervision of emotionally disturbed adolescents or individuals that engage in challenging behaviors, with a history of trauma, in a residential setting. Supports clinical services utilizing a trauma informed care approach, specifically the ARC (Attachment, Regulation, Competency) model. Assist in creating and implementing daily schedule to engage clients in activities to provide structure and routines while building positive, safe relationships. Ensures the provision of a safe and homelike atmosphere throughout the residential unit. Documents client’s progress and related pertinent data.
Responsible for the maintenance of the unit in an orderly and sanitary condition, and for the operation of the kitchen, which serves food to the clients and staff. Responsible for cleaning all areas of the unit to levels in compliance with DPW and other relevant standards. Participates in training programs to develop additional housekeeping and food services skills.
This position plays a key role in shaping students’ futures by mentoring small groups of students, reviewing material with one-on-one with students, providing instructional support activities to students that are designed by the teacher, collecting assessment data and supervising the academic work of students. The position will also assist in preparing curriculum materials, grading papers, and tracking attendance.
